Lahti University of Applied Sciences is moving towards BYOD practice (Bring Your Own Device). The students are encouraged to purchase their own devices. The device should be portable, we recommend a laptop. It is important to pay attention to the display of the device. 13-14 inch display is sufficient for basic use, but for example graphic working requires at least 15 inch display.

Purchasing a new device is worth of investing. A high quality device is useful for longer periods of time and it does not necessarily need to be renewed during the study.
